WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH YOUR OPINION!

Question:

Why do people with no experience in what you do (business owner, entrepreneurship) have more to say than those that do what you do?

Answer:

It's easier to sit in the seat of judgment than walk the path of action.

I will admit nitpicking the actions of others through the lens of 'this is what I would do' is far easier than putting in the hard work yourself, but here's the problem with that.

• You're not helping by giving your pointed opinions, especially when you haven't felt or shoulder the invested emotional baggage associated with turning dreams into reality.

• Reading and watching how-to videos in no way makes you an authority. Leave it to the experts.

• Keep your stereotypical, biased, and plain hateful responses to yourself. Remember, what goes around comes back like a boomerang.

It's just that simple. Unfortunately, social media encourages people to cross hella boundaries brazenly. PLEASE STOP.

In closing, to the countless individuals using opinions in the world. Please use them wisely. Try not to tear down the hard work of others. It's tough enough to leap into the savage arena of business & enterprise without also incurring the burden of public opinion.

To all the brave women and men globally, starting or currently running a business, never give up on yourself. Yes, you will jump through hoops, pay your dues, often be flat broke, and (im)patiently wait for your turn to shine (keep shining). It's only a matter of time. Don't give up.
